Transfer windows don’t just reveal who moves. They reveal how people move.

This window was crazy!
One of the busiest we’ve seen in recent years.
What caught my attention wasn’t just the moves.
It was the approaches.
Alexander Isak refused to play, froze out Newcastle, and issued a statement saying promises were broken.
Yoane Wissa went public too, calling out Brentford for standing in his way.
Marc Guehi? Stayed quiet, kept playing, deal agreed… until Palace pulled the plug at the last moment.
Three players.
Three different strategies.
Three different outcomes.
For me, it all comes down to promises. If agreements are broken, speaking up might feel justified. But silence and consistency also carry power.
The nice guy doesn’t always win.
The loud guy doesn’t always lose.
It’s about positioning.
It’s about branding.
And it’s about knowing when to stay silent, when to speak, and how your reputation carries through both.
Because in football and in business, how you handle the moments behind closed doors will always shape the opportunities that open in public.
People were saying by freezing out your current club they were being advised poorly, but is that really the case if they got what they wanted?
